Making the Case for the Social Sciences
Future Issues: Help required!
We are currently preparing more issues of our publications, sponsored by the British Psychological Society, showcasing social science work that has had a real impact.
We are seeking stories on the following topics:
- Innovation and Economic Growth
- Health in conjunction with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Management in conjunction with the Society for Advanced Management Studies
- Social Care (especially work relating to children) In association with the PPSRU at LSE.
- Use of Longitudinal data
We would like to receive vignettes of social science research that has shown clear impact on policy or practice. Stories should be 300 words in non-technical language explaining what the research team did, what they found and what difference it has made. Please send stories to the series editor, Madeleine Barrows [m.barrows@acss.org.uk] .
If you don't have a story yourself but know of a piece of social science work that has made a difference to policy or practice in any area, please let Madeleine know about it.
