Abertay University, 9-11th July 2019
The diverse nature of leisure has the potential to change lives. Increasing societal concerns around funding of leisure amidst a period of socio-political instability and individuals’ mental health, for example, have led to questions about how contemporary leisure can positively affect individuals’ lives and indeed whole communities. This conference focuses on how leisure changes lives through research, education and practice and some of the challenges associated with this. Within the conference programme researchers will be presenting on four main streams – changing policy, changing communities, changing identities and changing lives.
Join us at our annual conference as we explore the challenges and benefits of contemporary leisure research, teaching and practice.
