The ONS is consulting on user satisfaction. Glen Watson, Director General, ONS writes:
We want to be sure that the statistics, analyses and services ONS provides meet the needs of our customers and that you feel you can shape our work.
As someone who uses or has used our statistics, I am writing to ask for your help by telling us how we have done over the last year. Your feedback helps us understand why and how you use ONS statistics and analyses and what you think about the quality of these and the services we provide.
The survey provides an opportunity for you to tell us what matters most to you and where we need to do better. We would also like to hear about areas where you feel we are doing well. This will help us to get a balanced view of our progress. To help us plan and prioritise our work, we are also seeking feedback on the statistics and analysis you would like us to produce to inform your decision making, planning and policy development.
To promote greater transparency in our performance, we will publish all responses in full. We will not publish personal details, but will give the name of the responding organisation where relevant. We value your honest feedback on how we can continuously improve our statistics, analyses and advice to meet your needs.
We will also publish a summary of the findings and how we are addressing the issues raised. I attach a link to the ONS web pages where we have published a summary of findings for last year’s customer satisfaction survey, an updated response setting out how we have responded to the issues raised and a summary of recent ONS consultations to highlight how customer feedback has informed our work.
If you have any queries about the survey please email email@example.com or contact Nick O’Donnell on 01329 447902 or James Field on 01633 455961.
Click here to access the survey. It will close on Friday 6 March 2015.
Thank you for your support. It really is essential in helping us to develop our statistics, analyses and services in response to your needs.
