Open call for new committee members

14 March 2019

Would you like to help the Academy increase the number of Fellows from the policy and practice communities?

We’re looking for new members for our Practitioner Fellow Search Committee, which identifies deserving cases for Fellowship amongst social scientists working in the policy and practice communities.

The committee has been in existence for just under three years and, as a result of its work, the Academy has awarded Fellowships to many outstanding individuals from across the civil service, local government, research foundations, professional services firm, and media and communications organisations.

The search committee has one physical meeting each year and does the rest of its business by email and the occasional telecon. It is chaired by Professor Tony Crook CBE FAcSS.

For further information, please contact Kate Atkins at [email protected]. And if you decide to apply to join the committee, please send Kate an email setting out very briefly your academic and professional background and the nature of your contacts amongst the policy and practice communities where our social scientist colleagues work.
