The International Balzan Prize Foundation’s aim is to promote culture, the sciences and the most meritorious initiatives in the cause of humanity, peace and fraternity among peoples throughout the world.
The Academy has been invited to nominated outstanding social scientists for these valuable and prestigious prizes. Half of each prize sum of 75,000 Swiss francs is awarded to the Prize winner and the rest is later earmarked by the Prize winner for research projects involving young researchers. In 2016 one of the four prizes will be awarded in International Relations: History and Theory. Please send an email by outlining the rationale for your suggestion to Madeleine Barrows at the Academy 29 February 2016.
